The PS5 has been one of the most highly anticipated gaming consoles to be released in 2020, with stocks running out immediately and many dedicated fans patiently waiting for restocks.
With popular gaming consoles as such, the resale market can often be saturated with scammers and people wanting to make a profit, so when a man listed his new PS5 for sale for an oddly reasonable price, the buyer couldn’t help his curiosity.
The seller simply stated that his wife wanted him to sell it, and this is how the story unfolded.
The seller had recently brought home a brand new PS5. For those who aren’t particularly into gaming, it’s probably helpful to know that gaming consoles in high demand can sell out in mere minutes, so it’s probably safe to assume that the seller was pretty ecstatic when he scored a PS5.
Knowing that his wife would not be happy to find out that he spent $750 on a gaming console, he devised a plan. He decided to convince her that, instead of a brand new gaming console, he had actually brought home a brand new air purifier.
In his defense, with the gaming console’s sleek, modern and minimalist design, it perhaps really could have passed as an air purifier. Unluckily for him, he was right. His wife was not happy to find out that he had brought home a PS5, and she forced him to sell it.
Unluckily for the husband, the PS5 was sold out in a heartbeat and it is uncertain as to when stock will be back, so it doesn’t look like he will be reuniting with his PS5 any time soon.
