Background: Natalie Portman was originally born and raised in Jerusalem during the first three years of her childhood. In 1984, her family moved out of her home country and settled down in Syosset, Long Island, New York. After a few years working as a model, Portman found her passion in acting and eventually had her first-ever debut in Leon, where she was casted as a hitman's protege.
Not many would know that Natalie Portman is an incredible role model. While pursuing an acting career, she also went to Harvard University and in 2003, she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Natalie Portman has always been very considerate in choosing her movies’ roles in which women are demonstrated with a positive and energetic power. In 2005 and 2008, she consecutively took part in “V for Vendetta” and “The Other Boleyn Girl”. In 2010, she became a global phenomenon as the lead for the psychological thriller, “Black Swan” by applying her talent and years of practicing ballet. The character also helped her win an Academy Award for best actress. Thanks to that movie, she met her husband - Benjamin Millepied and they married in 2012.
Currently, Natalie is well known as the geeky scientist, Jane in the Thor series. Around the same time Thor (2011) was released, she was busy with “No String Attached” and “Your Highness”. “Jackie" (2016) brought her an Oscar nomination. Since then, Natalie has starred in “Song to Song” (2017), “Vox Lux” (2018), “Lucky in the sky” (2019), and many more to come including Thor: Love and Thunder.
